Wells, after I saw a few introduce, now it's my turn ! Yay, I have got my GG EvoIX MR (for 5days) and already finish break in the car ( ~800miles) . Very nice, smooth and power ride indeed.
But I realize a problem: our Evo hood is open and water can pass thru it if it rain (or if we wash the car). How do you guy solve the problem or just let it be there? Since I haven't been assigned a inbuilding parking space so whenever it's rain, my heart hurt so much

 

Well its recommend to change oil after break in Mobil 1 10w-30, your filter is fine.

I wash my car and my engine bay doesn'y really get wet, it's not like your spraying a lot of water in that area anyway..

Some guy awhile back put a towel under the hood and closed it and forgot about it...

my evo has a vented hole on the hood. Never noticed that rusty manifold. Don't worry about it, Mitsu new about the vent.

 

Wow, a change oil already at 800miles? Does anyone else do this oil change ? Or only it is recommend? If so , how frequent you guys change your car oil ?

 

i dont mean to jack the post but is Mobile 1 the onlthing that is good for the EVO? i run with Royal Purple.. is that ok to put in an EVO?
