i was checking out gruppe-s and saw there helix turboback for sale at a great price? is that the turboback i should go with or is there something better?

Again with the telling ppl to search he posted in the newbie forum so chill. There are plenty of other exhaust choices out there but all are basically the same regardless of what some will tell you...helix is a great system. As for mods TBE,MBC,Fuel Pump, flash...and if you want LICP and a drop-in. You can go with one of those packages since they are soo in right now.

you dont even need the intake from 300whp...intake should not come before tbe...if anything it should be one of the last.

My recommendations are very similar to Ato-Mix, although I disagree with him thinking it's ok for newbies not to search. The rules clearly state that you MUST search before making a new thread. The absolute FIRST thing you should do is search for the exact words you put in your title, because I guarantee you the exact same title has been used many, many times.

Anyway, for an 05, the best mods are like Ato-Mix said:

- turboback exhaust (No reason to get Helix necessarily, but it's fine)
- manual boost controller
- blow-off valve (recirculating only)
- fuel pump
- tune (e.g. flash)

As blonde referenced, I have all of these mods combined into one pre-made package that can be bought form Buschur Racing, one of the leading vendors in all of the Evo and DSM community (if not THE leading vendor). The price includes shipping and tuning, but includes nothing that you don't need. You can see the details in my sig. Welcome to EvoM, and be sure to wear out that Advanced Search button.

WT package will def work for you but if you don't want a pre-made package...just make sure if you are going to make your own set up to be somewhere along the lines in his package.

Again, I fully agree. You by no means have to get my package, but whatever you do, please get a SIMILAR mod combination. You won't be wasting money on unnecessary mods (intake), and you won't be lacking any mods that help everything work well together (i.e. BOV to hold increased boost and fuel pump to supply needed fuel for increased boost).

Alright guys, thanks for the input...
just a few more questions though... what other exuasts are comparable to the helix ones, price wise... i also dont want it to be too loud. my trans am is absolutly ridiculous and it is getting quite annoying.
so say im going to make an order from a vendor

-TBE
-Manual boost controler
-fuel pump

you guys think those are some first good mods.. also what does a BOV do for these cars? is it even worth my money to buy one?

The BOV is a valve located in the intake tract on your engine after the turbo it is used to vent extra pressure which is developed from a turbo when you close the throttle- without it you would mess up the turbo/turbo impeller. The evo comes with a DV (BOV) but i would suggest and so would others to get either the Forge recirc DV or JDM DV. As for exhaust it seem you are on a budget so that would cross out any JDM TBE system, Megan great system great price, buschur click WT sig if you want to check it out...there are others too lazy to list them all.
