I am gonna be getting a MR in May.
The reason for that is, I am not going to be doing many mods.
Mostly it's going to be some decent coilovers, downpipe, exhaust, and possibly some different tires and rims for some track days.

If you are going to be doing heavy mods on your car, I would suggest an RS which is a great starting point for tuners.

Anyways, I hope I didnt sound too negative to your post.
Good luck with your purchase.
IMHO, it all comes down to what you can buy and what you want to do with your car.

You kinda have things mixed up. You said you're not going to do many mods, but coilovers are quite big mod. Hell, that's as much if not more than an entire stage 1 power package, and the point of getting the MR is for the awesome Bilsteins and the lightweight forged rims. You will be removing the Bilsteins and not relying on the rims for racing anyway, so you have no need for an MR. The only thing you'd have left is the 6spd. Buying an MR then upgrading to coilovers is strange.

I will be keeping the car in stock form for at least 2 years.
As my driving skills improves as my track time increases I will be getting a set of coilovers to better suit my needs.

As for rims go, I might need wider tires for track days. That is the reason why I am getting a different set of tires and rims.

Well 2 years later is a whole different story. You didn't say that at first.

I think that the very fact you use the term "lowering springs" makes me cringe. Springs are a suspension mod whose purpose is to lower the stance to reduce the center of gravity and thuse reduce body roll while also providing better all around handling. They are not for lowering the car, although that is a side effect, and unfortunately, that's why people get them nowadays. Coilovers are the only way to go, and that's why I have 0 suspension mods right now despite my constant racing. When I have mastered the stock MR suspension, I will upgrade to coilovers.

Now, if you absolutely want springs, then make ABSOLUTELY SURE you get ones that are DESIGNED specifically for the Bilsteins. So many MR owners have made the ricer mistake of buying some cheap springs only to blow the Bilsteins. Be sure you go to EvolutionMR.net and read up on all the lessons learned. I believe the Swift springs are made for the Bilsteins and are considered the best for the MR right now, but since I won't be getting springs, I don't keep track of that info.

OK thanks Warrtalon...
I just thought that the Bilstein is great... so lowered it a bit with swift springs might help abit on look and performance but I guess I need to do more research.

Yes, Swift should do both for you, but go to EvoMR and verify with some of the guys who have already tested them first-hand.
