compare the evo to the 300c

i have an evo right now.. and im thinking about the 300c also.. yes i know they are completely different cars, the only thing about the 300c is that its larger, therefore, more difficult to handle, and automatic, which takes out a lot of fun. but aside from that, what can you say between the two?

the 300c is pretty fast, almost as fast as the 350z going 0-60mph, but not as fast as the evo. im NOT talking about the SRT-8.

i like the bling factor, but looks a little like a daddy's car. i like it that its a safe car, and alot of space. it got speed, very good speed..

yes, i know the obvious difference, but lets get deeper comparing the two..

=)

I don't think there is anything to compare, like you said they are two different cars.

since I have a Evo and sell Chrysler Jeep and Dodge, Ill say no comparo! or I would drive a FREE 300c or Charger rather than pay $550 a month to drive a Evo

Chryslers are good for 5000 miles then they fall apart and rattle, squeek, and steering is all loose. American cars suck!

But thats just my opinion since Ive been selling them for 10 years and see how they drive after a few miles on them compared to Jap and Germ cars.

Luxury touring sedan vs Rally Bred Street sedan.

Go ahead and buy it, it should be a really nice car and the HEMI has some fun to it. Also the DoD can yeild some pretty good mileage.

It's a bike vs a truck almost.. You're going to be in for quite a shock going from one extreme to another like that. You could perhaps consider more options. Audi a4 or s4. Bmw 3, m3 or 5? Man.. I'm starting to scare myself with German suggestions.. Oh.. don't forget the Lexus IS 350 and the Infiniti G35.

This is a really bad comparison, the two cars are nothing a like. I couldn't imagine how any potential buyer could be shopping for an EVO and same time looking at a 300C, because they are so vastily different. I mean what do you want us to say, the EVO is faster and the MUCH better performance vehicle, while the 300C is the more comfortable car, fast for what it is. I mean if you really are considering a car like the 300C, then maybe the EVO isn't and hasn't been the right car for you, and you need to get cars that fit your tastes better, so don't buy for performance, when you really want bling and comfort.

You must've posted this thread w/ me in mind since I own both.

As mentioned several times already, they're nothing alike. Then again, I bet you know that and don't need to hear it from us. I think what you're really asking is which car would you be most happy with, day-to-day.

You need to ask yourself what features you really want in a car. If you're looking for:

- comfort
- style
- straight line speed
- highway cruising
- lots of interior and trunk room
- no rattles (I don't care what the earlier post said)

go for the 300. This car will never handle but so long as that's not a concern of yours, who cares?

If you want:

- speed
- go kart handling
- huge variability via mods
- LOTS of rattles
- high-school kid envy

get the Evo.

I can't imagine owning just an Evo - I think it'd just get on my nerves if I knew that was my only choice. Seattle roads aren't bad but if I lived in the snowbelt or someplace that salted roads, I'd NEVER own one.

Having said the above, when I have the choice of which to drive I almost always grab the Mitsu keys...

lol, i believe i somewhat started this thread in an unusual way... very not straight to the point, and somewhat confusion to say..

anyways, what i kind of meant is how would it feel like from going from an evo to driving a 300c.... handling wise, would it be a very very big difference? i have seen 300c's in the track, and ive heard from all around that the handling of the 300c, or especially the srt8, is superior.

i would also miss the psssshhh sound, and playing around with the manual tranny. too bad the 300c doesnt come in MT.

theres still a fun factor with the 300c, with its v8 power, and no turbo lag unlike the evo.

yes, it would be a very big difference.

it handles well for its class or for its size, but remember what else is in its class. cadillacs, buicks, impalas, A6 (kinda), etc... i'm sure the srt8 is better but it's still a cruiser, more for highways than autox courses

keep your evo for track use and 300c for daily driven or cruise mode.

It really depends on what you consider "fun".

If it means stylin' on the boulevard, comfortably doing triple digits and getting lots of looks, do the 300.

If it means a pure, dirty, driving experience, the Evo is your ride.

I wouldn't consider driving the 300 fun...
