Just take it easy at first. Spend a good amount of time learning how to drive before you go crazy in the evo. If your parents will be cool with it; get a cheap car for a year or so, and than upgrade to an evo. The bov might sound good but its not worth the loss of performance, stick with the stock one. Also get ready to get flamed.
ok ur lucky no one bashed u yet... u jus said one of the forbidden newbie mods a BOV and even worse u said the sound. Dude ur gettin the car? Have any experience drivin a stick car? Even more u think u can handle an Evo? Ppl jus get cars and dont crack about it. Ur gonna get bashed soon. First find out about the car and learn some info around here. Look up posts about first time gettin an Evo. Jus research about the car in this site. This site has practically everythin u need to kno
New bov is ghey if you want the whooosh sound
loss of power, police attraction, basically stupid if you're getting an MR too.
Try an integra type R for a first car, stick fun, or even a 240 with a sr20 swap. Those are great cars to have fun in.
Intake is also a no-no stick with stock air-box and if proceeding to buy intake remember to get an ecu tune/reflash from one of the vendors.
If you do choose an evo as a first car and have no experience with clutch, you will for sure be replacing the clutch at 10K.
Then you gotta ask yourself; can you keep up with maint, regular 4K oil changes, ready if something breaks, or new tires? You gotta be able to buy the car (but your parents are doing that) and you gotta be able to support it. Good luck, and god have mercy on your soul if you think you're the biggest **** in highschool just because you got a high powered car.

alrite jus take it easy and look up threads about the brake-in of an Evo. Jus treat her well and whenever says do a donut or a burnout - jus dont do it. Also u might get intimidated by ppl to race u in the beginning, jus ignore them and learn ur car. Then once u get the hang of it aprrox i would say 1500+ miles ( if u want to wait that long), smoke em

Wait a while first, get a beater car. Something that you can truely learn on, and you dont have to really worry about something going really wrong.
While your at it, and save some money. So that when you do get your Evo you'll have extra funds to have fun with it.
