Quote: Now that's what I'm talking about. I want a rear diff protector, undershields, etc.

I do alot of mountain driving and once made my WRX jump when I ran over a rock I didn't see (night, dark, no HIDs). It put a 1/2 foot deep dent into the rear passenger floor. The rear differential protector saved my diff that night.

Rally stuff.

Hold on a minute, are you talking about bodykits and cosmetic stuff or are you talking about floor guards, (metal) undertrays, roll cage etc.? To me accessories are things like ipod holders, seat heaters etc...

I want that rear differential protector for starters.

I just found the Carbing under panel (searching online), but it's aluminum, not steel. I doubt it will take an impact from a good sized rock. Plus, it's advertised as some kind of aerodynamic improvement, not protection.

I realize most people think the EVO as a street racer, but let's not forget it's Rally heritage.

I found the DIY section for making mudflaps, so I'll probably start with those.

As for "fluff", I wouldn't mind having a rearview mirror with a compass. Come-on, even Fords have those.

Quote: what?!? what do you mean i dont have a a/c duct to keep my drink cold?!
heh... reminds me of my friends parents 635 LI BMW from the mid 80's. It actually had a center console in the rear that chilled wine bottles or drinks.

Man... i could use use a chiller for my coctail while i drive.

Or on a more realistic price point, try a Lotus Elise or Exige.

They're FULL of ammenities.

To get back on topic... There are many accessories available which are shown in the back of the 2006 Evo IX brochure.

6-Disc Cd changer
all weather floor mats
various shift knobs
door sill scuff plates
nose mask

and some other things. As for a roof rack, i'll be getting new clips for my Yakima rack to carry my skis and snowboard this next winter to the mountains since there is no pass through to the trunk.

don't know who sells them in the US though. Your best bet is to go to a local workshop who do fabrication work and tell then what you want...

lol a compass.? like there arent enough street signs that have the direction on it. u sound like ur taking it for a drive through a empty desert. and plus...most roads dont acually head in the exact direction they say anyway. with turns n sh*t they seem almost pointless.

with the gas milage (and current gas price) you won't be getting that far on a tank to actually need a compass. At least not before you a.)fill up and ask for directions b.)find a bank to get a loan to fill your car up.

Who said streets? What? No one drives around BLM land?

I'm having a dual 5 gallon metal gas tank holder fabricated to hold my GI style 5 gal tanks. As soon as I have a hitch to attach it to, I'll be good to go with 24 gallons (total) of gas.

So, yes, I do need a compass. I also have a GPS, but a compass is much faster than my Garmin.

Bunch of city slickers...

Seriously, it's fun to get lost. I mean really, really lost.
