IMO, instead of appearance mods, do some driveability mods such as an alignment, shifter bushings, SS clutch line (remove the clutch restrictor), SS brake lines. Then take yourself and your car to an HPDE event at a local track and see what your RS can actually accomplish with stock power levels.

I was thinking of some evodave headlights, and evo VII tails, maybe a ralliart lip, painted and powder coated stockers and some tint. I have yet to decide about the mechanical modification part because I want to do all I can to preserve the cars life... I don't plan on being grandpa with it though. So many people just simply say that the cars reliability is greatly pushed over for the sake of the all mighty mod. Am I dumb for doing the cosmetic mods and leaving the car stock for a while? Or should I take that cash and get the Buschur S1 kit? Is that kit a big difference above stock?

i can hook ya up with the heads and the tails!! pm me when your ready.

Would you want to buy a car thats been modded or one thats completely stock?

I am not criticizing...more so just curious...but devaluate? Never heard the word, just wanna know if it is a word or I just havent heard it

Are you going to keep the car for 15+ years when it would start to crap out because of mods? Probably not, so don't worry about it. Just don't go putting a gt47r on your stock block .

Start with the Warrtalon package and your cosmetic enhancements, and decide your fate from there.

function is more important than fashion...but remember that your evo is already a bad @$$ it only depends on how youre using it...if you like to race, start under the hood...if not then do what you gotta do, just dont put big CHROMES...its not for an evo

"dumb idea" would be kind of a hard term, being that it's your car. What's important to you may differ from what's important to everybody else. I'd say, do whatever seems to suit you best. As for reliability, I don't think you'll run into many problems with bolt ons. In my experience, the reliability has as much to do with how you drive your car, as it does with what you change on it performance-wise.
