Hey guys!

The thread i was always looking forward too has finally arrived. I bit the bullet today, and now have all the papers signed on a 06 Red MR. The worst part is I can't pick it up until friday because i'll be out of town.

I did take it out for a drive today though on the dealer plates. I think as soon as work ends on friday i'm going on a 500 mile drive at <5000 RPM's. Soon to be the longest 500 miles of my life.

Since i know it will be asked i got it for 34,500 at Kelly Mitsubishi in Peabody, MA.

I couldn't agree more! I spent the longest time debating on the color and I was looking at the IX's in either blue or black, but they were pretty rare in my area. Finally I stopped by a dealer and they had the red MR with the gunmetal BBS rims and I fell in love.

I used to have a 03 RR.
It was nice but this time I got a WW.

 

Well there was a delay in getting the car...

I completely forgot i was going away this weekend so i didn't get to pick up the car until today (sunday). But it's amazing. I drove it until i needed to turn on the HID lights and then i loved it more.

It was pretty hilarious coming out of the dealer though... as soon as i left the parking lot, within 1 mile a stock integra (the car i just sold) pulled up next to me and reved the engine and dropped the clutch. I laughed, pulled up next to him at the light and told him I was still in the break in period and had just sold my integra. Then asked him if he wanted to buy the turbo kit i had on my teg because honestly... a stock teg isn't really that fast. He took my number and hopefully will buy it. But seriously... less than a mile down the road and i'm already getting raced. I really think i could've kept it below 4k and still beat him, but i'm not gonna risk doing anything bad during the break in on my new evo!

The color combo looks amazing, especially at night. I'll have some pics up after this next weekend.

Love the car. Can't wait for mile #600... mile 601 will come really fast after that.

 

congrats on the new ride. I bought a used 05 with 20k on her. So she was broken it. Still treating her on the soft side until I get my shifting and breaking down a bit better.

The one reason I would go with a GG instead of RR or something bright............ cops.
They have a harder time finding a grey / silver car then they do a bright red loud car with a huge wing
