Does anyone still have a STOCK evo?
My evo is still stock, cept for turbo timer. it was the deal with my self when i bought the car, not to mod it, its pretty fun to drive stock, pluse you can learn its limits before you start modding to know exactly what you need as you go. But im to much of a mod freak, i think everyone should at least put one new mod a month to keep you from getting bored, but thats just me, im getting exhaust, downpipe, intercooler kit, intake, cams(maybe) and a few others and tune.
mine is still stock. only have a turbo timer and my favorite small arc shiftknob. hehe
plan to just put on wheels/suspension but keep the motor stock. as a daily driver, i can't afford to mod it up so much and waste more money on gas.. esp. since i'm driving in LA traffic most of the time. =\ plus, stock power is enough for me. still makes me smile from ear to ear.
also don't want to deal w/ cops hassling me like they did when i had a fixed up integra.

i guess i must be dumb mine was only stock for 3 days after i bought it. i have had it for about 2 weeks now and it has 1300 miles on it. with a turbo back B&B and forge MBC and k and n drop in . but the drop in is going away next week. i was told by lancershop that they dont have IX cams yet so i cant wait.. but i do need a fuel rail and battery
My mods are a k&n drop in air filter because I've to change the stock one & brake pads (DS2500) because once again stock ones had to be changed.
The radio has been changed with an aftermarket one, the stock one is very cheap.
I think about mods but I try to resist, It's already fun like this, I'm already not able to use the power of my car on the road so why trying to mod it?

my plan to keep me liking my car, because i think i'm just like you, is to do some small things every spring that are enough to make it different but not unreliable or really change a ton. and as things break/wear out i'll replace them with better things. this way i won't blow a ton of money at one time on lots of parts, get used to it, and then want something else after spending tons of money. it'll help mentally and financially, so i'll be able to keep my car for 5+ years without getting bored of it because it'll always be changing bit by bit
My IX RS is stock and will be so for atleast another month or two (if nothing comes up). Even in stock form the IX is a pure joy to drive. I had my reservations about owning one, I mean I wanted an EVO for so long and obsessed over it, that I felt like it would be hard to live up to the expectations I had for it. Well my IX not only lived up to the expectations, but surpassed it. I often compare it too my modded VR4 I use to have, and it really is no comparison as far as performance. I don't drive as hard as I use too, but when I really get on the EVO it's a pure joy, I mean it takes all that I can dish out and asks for more. Sometimes boost hits so violently, that it actually scares me, something the VR4 never did. I mean when I drive with my friends, I really have to drive like a grandma, because it scares them so much when I really get on it. The VR4 on the other hand was much more linear in it's power delivery. I could go from 80-120mph in an instance and you wouldn't really know it. But the EVO is much different and pins me to the back seat. The car really hits corners too, I've grown much more confident with it, and feel like I never can lose control, but don't be fooled, there is always a limit and I've twiced almost reached that limit. But what really impresses me are these brakes, damn are they strong, and I don't even have ABS. The brakes do make noises sometimes, but make up for it with their awesome stopping power. I mean overall the car is just a joy to drive, and i wouldn't trade it for two VR4s. Sure I miss the attention my VR4 brought, my friends which are all women, often tell me they liked the VR4 better and wish I would have gotten another one. I ask why, and they say because it was pretty and fast, best of both worlds. When they say that, I remind them why I bought the EVO and get on the gas

My IX is stock, only have had it about 1 1/2 weeks so far. Already have some gauges ordered (EVO MR boost/volt/oil temp) that will be here in a few days. So far its stock. I plan on doing this car nice and slowly as I've rushed into mods with my last cars :/. The EVO is really great stock though

my 8 is still stock, unless you count a black oem dash surround (it looks much better), a k&n drop in, a uk badge (again, looks better) and catz galaxy white high beams as mods.
Got mine on 3/31. Couldn't stand the CD player and got an Alpine 9856 w/ iPod connector a few days after. Planning ahead for winter, I've got some Kosei K-1 TS on order due later this week for the stock Advans with the BBS scheduled for A/S or snows later this year.
Planning to run stock the rest of the year at least, hitting some tracks and HPDE. Will wait until next year before deciding on mods.
