Does anyone still have a STOCK evo?

well, i made my decision.... i'm NOT going to mod my spec-v, and wait for the Evo X....

im going straight for the IX and i guess i'll trade it in in 3 years.... but my question is... are there any people who drive their evos stock... and is the evo fun to drive even while it is stock????

It's plenty of fun when stock. I think most normal people would be very satisfied with the stock performance. It's definitely more than you'll ever need/use on the street.

All I did to my Evo was switch the air filter to a cone shaped one. I bought an Evo instead of a more common car that I'd need to spend money modifying.

There are plenty of stock evo's. Most of them probably aren't on this forum because this is an "enthusiast" website but they do exist.

I've had mine for 11 months. I'm 100% stock and I still love driving it every time I get into it. As of now, I have no plans to modify it.

I'm almost stock. All I have is a greddy ti catback. I wonna do some mods that improve drivability like motors mounts, short shifter, SS clutch line and brake lines, jdm metal bov, and other things that would improve handling/throttle response. Other than that I'm very satisfied with my stock evo. I need the reliability cuz all I do is highway driving. I made 16,000 miles in 6 months .

Been sort of stock for about 7 months now. I only have a small sub/amp installed (infinity basslink), and some alpine speakers and alpine headunit and a shorty antenna. Besides that everything else is untouched. I'm dancing around my mod bug by doing audio stuff first. I'll most likely start modding in a year or two. My first mod that i'm trying to get right now is one of these.

^very pricey mod, but after I get this, helloooo mods.

Stock Evo

I just bought an EVO IX last week and plan to keep it stock for, at least, a little while. I have to imagine that it is a great car stock and just gets better with mods.

i bought my 2003 yellow evo 8, three weeks ago. THe only mod i have put on thus far is a boost gauge (it came with a greddy type r bov). I plan on putting an exhaust system this summer to help free up some power. I dont have a ton of money right now for parts but I def. think that all evos need to free up a few ponies with a good exhaust system.
