Hey aLL, I'm coming here from NASIOC, I own a Cobb stage 2 02 WRX and have been toying with the idea of upgrading to an Sti, I test drove several, and while I was impressed with the power, the overall experience was lacking, so I looked towards the evo and eventually purchased a black 2003 Evo 8 with some light mods, a Buschur upper intercooler pipe, tein lowering springs, ACT racing clutch, and an HKS turbo inlet pipe with filter. I heard all the horror stories of the EVO clutch so I was glad to see that this had the clutch upgrade.
I was in the market for more power so I had to ditch the wrx and give it to my fiancee, it was a great car and it served me well but the EVO is just an amazing car. So basically after all my rambling my question is anything to expect or look out for in general with the car. I drive to Maryland from Rhode Island this Saturday to pick it up

 

You should get Al to dynoflash the car. It will make a world of difference even with your current mods.

 

You're probably slower than stock right now with those mods, so look at getting the proper mods and definitely a tune. You could probably even improve by removing that intake pipe and filter for now until tuned.

 

yeah I planned to get an ECU reflash once I get the car, I'm excited to be able to have some more freedom to mod with the EVO. As far as the intake, they are useless wthout tune like subies huh?
