Low-Spoiler Evos???

Sorry, hope this isn't too n00b of a question...

I've seen like 4 Evo VIII's in CT now with a low spoiler. My guess is that this may have been the very 1st 03's in the US... I don't really know though.

Are these aftermarket, was this a cheaper option at one-point (opposed to the normal spoiler now), or did early 03's come stock like this??? Jw.. If someone has an answer, I'd appreciate it for my own knowledge.

Thanks.

I believe this was a factory piece, and was referred to as a "GT spoiler" on the invoice. Ran into them when I was shopping for my '03.

So in 03 would that make the "Raised carbon-fiber" an additonal price add-on to your invoice? ...An upgrade if you will...

This is what would make the most sense to me at least...

Right around Windham/Willimantic area...

Also, the Lancer spoiler was also my second guess.

Did you go to test/tune night at Lebanon Valley Wednesday night App420? I might have been behind you at the gate if that was you.

I have seen a couple of evos out here with the low "prancer" wing as well, in fact on raced me while i was setting up my boost controller, only was at 15 lbs so he won but still he would stop and chat, he had interesting exhaust. Any way i think you can get this as an option and many evo owners are trading our OZ american counterparts for there wings, i have no idea why but i know people have done it.

Well, one of the ones I saw happened to be blue, but I also know that someone around my area has a black one like that too. ...And I've seen a yellow too I believe.

You are correct. In '03, the C/F spoiler was an option. If I remember correctly, it was a $450 upgrade.

...and yes, it was printed as an added accessory/option on the window sticker.
