Wing question
Wing question
Did the search...Still have questions.
I was just wondering if the Evo VIII wing would fit in the stock 03 OZ Rally wing holes, and the least invasive and practical way to cover and seal the center bar hole once it's on. I've read little about the fitment but it sounds as if it will just fit right in there. I just didn't want to have to do any sanding or filling to cover the hole, could have a body shop take a measurement and have that third pillar fabricated...but the cost. hmm

A third pillar with the Evo spoiler would probably just look super ugly.. and I don't know how they would even attach it to the carbon fiber. I sure wouldn't want someone messing with that nice of a spoiler. Anyhow, yes the Evo spoiler bolts right up to the factory spoiler holes. The only thing left will be the middle hole exposed. I just put sort of a grommet with a flathead bolt thru. Its not really that noticable, but it keeps the water out. The only other option for that center hole is to get a piece of sheet metal welded in place, then repaint the trunk.

it fits perfectly onto an 02-03, the 04+ is a little different. But the center hole, most people just get a plug for it. theres a guy on one of the srt4 forums that sells painted plugs to match the paint code of your car for cheap i think. but yeah the plug is what most people do cause its cheap, and if you ever want to put the old spoiler back on, no new holes.

save yourself the time and $$$ of fabricating a 3rd pillar:

I don't like the 3rd pillar on an oz's spoiler but it's not on my top list of priorities to get it removed cause of the work of filling in the hole (I don't want to just put a plug in, looks tacky).
But a 3rd pillar on an evo wing?
Those pics you posted comatose were downright ugly. No offense of course.
