Welcome to the site. Good luck getting your evo, I purchased mine 3 weeks ago and I never looked back. These cars are awesome!

^^^ That is good to hear!

I just got back from the local Mitsu dealer. I spoke to a salesman who for the most part, actually knew something about the car (though at first he told me the IX's did not come out till '07 lol, I think he meant the X's)

Well anyway, they had 4 EVO's on the lot, 2 were used, and the other 2 were new. I pretty much found my dream car sitting on that lot! It was a White IX (no sunroof, though) that had about 16 total miles on her. The dealer only wanted $31,300 MSRP, which I thought was a great deal since I could proabably talk them down further, what do you guys think? I was going to wait to buy a car since I am moving to Atlanta here in a few weeks, but that seemed to me like a great deal...? Maybe I am wrong, and also maybe I am jumping on the first car I see which I told myself I would not do lol. Anyways, just wanted to share my story, I am so excited to ditch the Spec V and get the new whip!

Turbo AWD =

Welcome man, how is the SpecV? I'm looking for a first car that'll help me get ready for an Evo later on... I heard that it has a Limited-slip diiferential that reduces torque steer and yeah..so how does it sound as it accelerates>?

^^^ You know what, IMO the Spec V is a great little car! There have been a few problems (which my '05 NEVER experienced) in the earlier years (especially the 2002's) but overall for the money, they are awesome! The limited slip is amazing, and you are correct, it does reduce torque steer, though it is still noticable at times, it is nowhere as bad due to that. Also, at 5250 RPM a second intake runner opens up which completely changes the note of the engine (sounds way aggressive) and it also adds a slight power increase (hardly noticeable though, and nothing like VTEC as honda boys will say it is!)

But ya, overall the car is great. 4 doors, practical, handles well, and like I said earlier, it is pretty fast for the $. Also, the aftermarket is getting bigger so if you plan to mod you will have many more options. On top of that, it is a 6spd which is very nice, and overall responds well to mods.

If you have anymore questions let me know man, I know a ridiculous amount about Spec V's lol. Also, I might reccomend you check out B15sentra.net, or the TheVboard.com - (rough crowd at the Vborad though) 2 of the best Se-r/Spec V forums on the web.
