Yeah, you pretty much have to take the front bumper off, then access the plastic screws on the back side of it to remove it.

Nope.
You just need to remove the two 10mm bolts and then remove all the top clips.
Then it will be loose enough for you to be able to squeeze your hand behind the grill and with a 'stubby' philips screwdriver, remove the screw that holds it into place.

Hmm, I'm on the fence about this. I'm usually a fan of seeing no emblems on the car and just having the mesh and a bare trunk lid, but I can't tell if the car is going to look good with all that emptiness.

hmm.... time for some photoshopping.

There is a bracket behind the emblem that you cannot remove without leaving holes in the mesh. Take of the emblem and you'll see. I painted mine black and it looks pretty good.

yeah, I've completely debadged the trunk and have been looking into the EVO IX badges (black). Might be worth painting the Mitsu badge up front the same color.

IMO, the black on GG looks h0t.

I definitely won't debadge the front if I'm going to keep the stock grill. I'd buy an aftermarket one that's seemless throughout. Keeping the stock grill after removing the emblem seems ricey to me.

I'll prolly end up painting the front emblem to match the black EVOLUTION IX sticker I'm gonna get.

I still have the MR logo, need to get that planted back on the trunk somewhere

I guess my front grill is ricey now.
Now I need to find something to fill the three small holes that are there now.

Same here. I masked off the entire front of the car with Hefty bags & masking tape & scuffed the emblem, then shot it with semi-gloss black & clearcoat. Looks aggressive...

Do you have a pic?

I'm interested in seeing the final result.

Oddly enough, right after I posted that I went to my Photobucket to see if I had a current pic in there, but I don't. I'll either try to take one when I get home, or I'll snap one with the cell phone when I go on break & see if I can upload it...
