I'd say it's worth the Fair price. Depending on who you sell to, it could be worth more. When people buy a used car, most are looking for something that hasn't been modded in any way, shape, or form.

i would sell the suspension parts, intake, (hood if possible) and such seperately. those things wont change the value of the car, but you can make some extra cash if you take them off and sell them on here.

thanks for all the input. I never expected to get more than $6,500 out of it really, and I do want to sell it to someone who actually is knowlegeable about cars or suspension so they can appreciate the nice handling of base lancers I don't really plan on selling the parts separately since the stock hood is a little damaged and i've already customized the trunk carpeting to fit the suspension bars. But i'm definitely looking to sell this quick to hopefully get a 2.5rs

Dealer would only give me 4k for my car in excellent condition. I sold most of the mods, made 3.2k, then sold the car stockish for 4k.

I definitely don't want to trade it in to a dealership due to the low payouts and lack of a selection of the cars that I'm looking for

Well, concidering i got my 02 lancer oz mint, 70,000 miles, perfect condition, for 6 grand even, id think u will get a little less thatn that for yours on a count of its an es, lancers have terrible resale value and they depreciate very quickly, a similar condition civic could go for twice as much, id say your car can probably rake in 6 grand from i private buyer, but if u trade it in, good luck

edit: you should restore it back to stock, aftermarket parts have little value when installed on a car you are selling, and make your car harder to sell, you should take the parts off and sell them to us at evo m, you will make more money doing that

the modifications could really hurt the resale, especially if you do a dealer trade-in. do NOT expect to get much, if any, return on the mods you have done. the reason that most people remove the mods before selling their car is because you will not get anything back from them.

I realize that, that's why I'm not planning on trading it in. Also I didn't plan on making anything off of the mods since I don't have the stock hood anymore, and the screw part of the original airbox is broken, thus I have the short ram. So with that only really leaves the suspension bars, and I'm keeping those on there for the buyer just out of courtesy so that they have a better handling ride with less body roll than a stock lancer. I'm only looking to get around 6K for it since the 2.5rs i'm buying is a little less than that.

I'm located in Ballwin, West County. And I'm looking to sell hopefully by the end of July before i go up to college. Thanks for letting her know, and here's a link to one of my sales page http://stlouis.craigslist.org/car/173377417.html

If you are going to take it to the dealer, you probably get back around 4k...you won't be able to get the blue book value unless you find someone that doesn't know car that much! The blue book value always show higher because is for dealer to mark up their retail price.
Mitsubishi has bad resale value so I would just keep it til it really need to get rid of....
