Hey, my name is Scott... I am from Jersey

I have been interested in the Evo for a while, and I am REALLY interested in the Evo (the new EVO X/ Concept X). I have read up before I joined, and I know you guys hate the auto/manual tranny, but I am a gadget guy, and if Mitsu says that this computer run tranny shifts faster than a human could (which DEOS make sense to me at least) I am cool with that... if anything else it is a conversation piece. I love the way the car looks, and the fact that the exterior is 95% of the production is AWSOME (the rims and front lights will probably go).

I went shopping for cars a year ago, and the Evo was on my list. the sad news was, being 6'4"... there was no chance in me fitting in the frickin car comfortably. Also... the interior was *** (in my opinion of course) for a 30k plus auto... it seemed like a an american muscle car, in that the developer clearly made the inside an afterthought, and this car was made for RACING!

I care about the inside as much as the outside and performance... so I ended up buying a Scion tC... I love the car do not get me wrong. I have added a kaminari body kit, reverse cowl hood, motegi rims/pirelli tires, injen intake, alphawerks header, borla exhaust, angel eyes, alpine double din dvd screen head unit, alpine type r component speakers, alpine type r composite speakers, alpine v-12 4 channel amp, 2 10" type r subs, 2 alpine v-12 mono amps, tyc tailights, dc strut bar, playstations 2 with contoller ports in dash (my custom job) and a bunch of little mods.

The point is that I really love my Scion. I used to make up errand excuses just to jump in! Then I went to the NYC auto show. I looked at the junk kia, honda, and nissan had, and I was confident I made the right choice. Then way in the back I see this car... The rest is history... YOU BUMS HAVE RUINED MY tC FOR ME!!! I join now and bow to you all, in hope that you will impart knowledge and little snipits about this new car. I look forward to your teachings... MASTER!

just to show, here is a pic of me and my car... I don't need no STINKIN front plates!!!

hahaha... i will make the dash fit my "luxary" needs through modifications (i think maybe i should not critisize a car which has such a strong following) , like I always do, but according to press releases, the next generation evo will be a bit more "comfortable"... you guys do not take any guff do you? the car doesn't even EXIST yet and I get STICK WITH TOYOTA!!!

It's all good, I am a big AUDIO guy, but the thrill of the ride is something I want to go for as well... and I am learning little by little about engine modification, to the point where natural aspiration upgrades are uderstandable to me. I am CURRENT member of ScionLife (i hop back and forth between forums), and they were the nicest guys to help a total car noob... I think it would have been a bad idea to learn how to drive on an Evo anyway! I have just glanced around this site, and I think I might just shut up and use the search button, because the level of understanding on this site is almost TOO much for me! I do however look forward to learning, and thank you for the amazing resources that every member supplies
