Yup the AC pretty much sucks, I never really noticed this until it started getting very hot. But this is nothing new, none of the Mitsubishi's I've owned previously had a very strong AC. My best friend owns a Montero and her AC sucks too, maybe it's a Mitsubishi thing.

Mine is working better than expected for Texas heat. Takes a little while to cool the car but after that very good.

a/c sucks?. i thinks its just so hot, my a/c in our mercedes cant quite keep up with the heat .so i think its just to hot here in socal...

My 03 wasn't as good as this one, but its too early to tell. I've used the A/C just a handful of times

lol, just curious, when you turn the thing to "Max AC"... is that the same as just pressing AC and the Recirculation button? Or does it actually blow harder

 

it sucks...at first it was good but after three months its gettin on my nerves.

So far its been ~100º here, the AC is good enough for me with it on Max/Recirc

 

The AC on my is very good and it is strong I don't know why people complain.

Seriously, though, mine is like 10X better than my WRX - that one is really bad...

 

You all turn the recirc on?...I don't own an EVO IX (yet!, july 11 baby!). But on my Sentra, I have to turn on recirc to get it to cool down sufficiently.
