Potential trade?

I just registered and wanted to post in the for sale section a potential trade. I know you guys have some rules about needing a certain amount of posts and time being registered so I guess this will atleast serve as my first post. I have an 04 Cobra with a kb blower on it making 591 rwhp and also a few other rwd cars and an AWD Stealth. I thought I would sell the CObra or trade it for an Evo, that way I could sell the Stealth and cut down on the number of cars I need to inspect, register, maintain, etc. What do you guys think? The 4 door also has its advantages over the two, 2 door cars I want to sell/trade.

It seems a shame to trade it in.. You would probably do a whole lot better to sell outright. Since you have so many cars, then selling the cobra and stealth would give you more options down the road if you plan to doin a little mods. Just thinking out loud of course. Good luck to ya though. my .02c

personally i would keep the mustang and sell the stealth... hell if i had money - I would just keep every car... but thats not exactly practical. How old are you? you might love the evo, but i'm prett sure you'll regret getting rid of the stang!

I'm 45 and wasn't even considering a trade at a dealer but with a private individual who might be interested. This way I wouldn't get ripped off by the money making dealer and still take advantage of the benefits of no sales tax. If I sell both cars out right and then buy a used Evo, I'm losing alot of money to the state on a car they already collected taxes for, based on the full price of the vehicle when it was new. Sorry for the run on.

you should realize that an EVO is going to feel extremely slow compared to your 04, and u will have to dump alot of money in it to be as fast as your '04, especially topend.

just something to take into consideration

I understand that but I also have a Supra that can be my go fast car and I would like the Evo as more of a dependable daily driver. My wife also has a 3rd gen RX-7, but I think she will be parting with it because she has fallen in love with the Saturn Sky redline.

Is the cobra paid off? How much are you looking for the cobra? Any pix? More details on the cobra. Mileage, etc...

I've always had a soft spot in my heart for '03 and up Cobra's with Kenne Bell setups after riding in a friends car and seeing the "toofast4u"/"blowzilla" video.

My dad will soon either be getting an '06 GT and throwing $1,000's into a supercharger setup or he'll be getting the new '07 Cobra, but I'd still kill to have an '03/'04 with the IRS.

I'd love to trade you, but my car isn't paid off yet.

oh, its bad *** as a dependable all weather daily driver, thats exactly how i use mine, throw a handful of bolt-on mods at it with a tune and u will have a very fast dependable daily driver.

if u already have a highway queen MKIV, i say go for the EVO to round out your package, + the IX makes 350awhp in just over a grand and change in mods.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I love the Cobra but I've put alot more blood, sweat, and tears into the Supra which I've had since '96 so I have to keep that car which means the Cobra will be sold or traded. THe low end grunt and exhaust sound of the Cobra can't be beat, but I prefer the turbo sound over the blower sound and the Supra's crowd appeal is a bit better even though the Cobra has a bigger audience. I guess that mainly depends on where you are at the time though.

hawjdude, my Cobra is paid off, have the title in hand, send me an email at rviscosi@maximatech.com and I can give you all the details. As long as the moderators don't mind I would give the mod list in this section. It has 23k miles, the 2.2L kb blower with all the goodies that go along with it, solid live axle in place of the IRS(saved ~70 lbs.) Or if this could be moved to the for sale area I would appreciate it. I was looking to get 30k or trade for an 02/03 Evo and get ~9k depending on miles, condition, mods, etc. You guys let me know what sounds like a fair trade with cash included on a 30k mile Evo.

I do not want to get my account suspended for trying to sell the car here, so lets get this thread back on topic. How are Evo's in snow? My Stealth has enough weight that with good tires it does an excellent job in snow up to about 6 inches deep. One reason for getting the Evo would be the ability to get rid of 2 cars in its place and also since my wife is selling her Mazdaspeed Protege I would also get 4 doors back then also.
