I still think the EVO VI is the best one!!!

Also, she has probably drove a VI a billion times and has not driven a IX as much, because of it being so new. If I went around a track in two comparable cars, one I've driven a billion time and one I've driven a couple times, I know the one I've driven a lot would win.
Carlos, when she drove both cars, the VI only beat the IX by .25 seconds, not by a second.
That only shows that lap times could change very easily and that the IX could win very easily.
Tests like lateral G's, slalom and proper accelation tests, would probably show that the IX is superior (but maybe not).

But if you are trying to figure out if one car is better then another (handles better & faster), you do handleing test (skidpad & slalom) and accelation test. Or you do a test with a couple of racecar drivers driving each car for many laps and record their best laps and compare.
Magazine racing is silly, but I never said anything bout any magazine. Also, magazine people didn't invent handling test or accelation test, car designers and engineers did.

You are completly right, test do NOT show how a car behaves in a real situation.

You're contradicting yourself with almost every other sentence. Have fun comparing cars on paper.

Your the one that brough up magazines, not me. You keep saying that Im comparing cars on paper, but I go out everday and drive my cars (& others) in real life situtaions. While your working, Im driving. While your on the interent, trying to talk ****, Im driving.
Get off that fact that I called her "some girl", you acting like its your ****ing mother.
You guys are both being tools. Quit hijacking this thread. You guys are just arguing to argue. I'm sure if this wasn't on the net, you guys would agree on a lot more things than you would think.
ANYWAYS, the IX is a heavier car than the VI by a few hundred pounds. That's why it got edged out. The IXs motor is more evolved and superior to the VI but not enough overcome that weight difference. The VI is more purpose built, while the IX is aimed to satisfy more markets.
I think each stripped down and built up the IX would win. This stock for stock. Plus the TME VI is more "tuned" than a standard VI and would probably hold pretty well against later iterations of a "standard" (not TME) Evo.
