But anyway, I was watching that video in one of the threads here with the evo's 1-VIII and i finally realized that the evo VI can't be compared to. aside from its devil-ish looks, it beat an evo IX in this bbc racing vid i watched! rawr!

I also think that the Evo VI is a great car. Are you sure that BBC video that you saw was a VI beating a VIII? I saw a BBC video on this board and it actually was a comparison between a Evo VI and a Evo IX. The VI ended up edging out the IX.

 

I saw the video a while ago on youtube, it might've been a IX or an VIII can't remember.

Just because some girl drove both (the VI & IX) and got a faster lap time with the VI, doesnt really mean the VI is faster and better.

If everyone forgot, its called an Evolution, it evolves and gets better with each new edition.

ps. I love the VI, if it was easy to get one in the States, I would have one, in addition to the IX.

 

the part about the lady driving both and getting a faster time with the VI is true. but im gonna have to disagree with you on the evolution part. as you can see, when the evoVII came out i remember it not being as great of a car as the VI was.

and plus, there are many reasons why i enjoy the VI the most..but i'm just a bit too lazy to go thru them.

If you've forgotten, the term evolution does not necessarily mean a transformation into a "better" form. Evolving into a better form is usually the case, not always. In the Lancer Evolution family, it has been proven that the VI TME was dominant over the VII.

Also, I believe that girl is Vicki Henderson. She's been racing since she was a preteen. So she isn't just "some girl."

 

one thing though is that Vicki Henderson can't guarantee an exact and equal driver performance in both runs with the 2 cars. i'd say that alone can change the lap times, even if its a thousanth of a second.

Th video that you are talking about is a Evo VI vs a Evo 9 and not the Evo 8. An yes the Evo 6 pulled a full second on the Evo 9.
