I'll pull up a few threads for you later, but for some unknown reason, Evo's run like crap with the typhoons.. Who dyno'd that? I hear the Buschur one is pretty good, and injen is pretty good. The HKS RS seems to work good too. Can't give you too much first hand advice because I only have a Works drop in filter.

for the love of god, get off the damn k & n typhoon... do you not understand it does not work in the EVO... whether it dyno'd at 14 1400 or -14 which the latter is closer... it does not work in the EVO... go with the HKS RSI since you dont want the INJEN... or the buschur... or anything else, just for christ sake, stop asking about the typhoon... you are killing us.

i've had the HKS in my 03
the Injen in my 06
and a buddy has the buschur in his 05... im missing an 04 but they all work well

massage oils, barry white, scented candles... no typhoon

+1. I'm having a ****ty day at work. I'm burried and can't even see my desk. I'm now on the Newbie forums in search of threads I know I can flame in. I have my brain scanning for GSR vs. MR threads, VTA BOV threads, and Evo Intake threads. Also, some dusche bag skater kid just fell off his board and his skateboard rolled into my car. I actually went out and yelled at him because I'm having such a ****ty day. I'm just looking for outlets today.

K&N claims 14whp gains, because they want your money much like whoever you're buying the FMIC and SAFC from. Skip the intake, skip the SAFC, skip the FMIC, but get the cams and a flash. You'll be glad you did.

Don't get an FMIC and piping until after you've gone to alky or a bigger turbo.

typhoon is bad. If ur gettin those modifications, please get a custom tune. Ull run rich using K&N. Get a good tune from a reliable tuner, an intake is not needed but HKS rs intake but it lets lots of dust in.

well thanks for the help so i guess ill go with the hks rs intake since i already bought safc 2 off my friend who had a talon and decided to sell it and get the cam like warrtalon said. does anyone recommend a certain company that i can get a flash from cause i was leaning towards jestrtuning.

and evojustu what do you mean that is the hks rs intake lets in lots of dust. does the filter blow or something?

Dynoflash for a $199 mail-in flash. Where are you located? You need to fill that out in your profile.

HKS isn't the greatest at filtering, but it lets in a lot of air.

sorry to ask another question but wouldnt it be smarter and money better spent if i wasted $50 more on slowboyracing.com and get the injen intake with the upper intercooler pipe. or have you heard bad things about that set up?

and does anyone know the openning of the injen upper intercooler pipe i am thinking 2.5 inches but i could be wrong

I think it would be smarter and money better spent if you just got over this damn infatuation with intakes and spent your money on mods that make you faster.

The UICP adds no power. The intake throws off the MAF and requies a lot of compensation from a tune to make things run smoothly.
