whats up! i was wondering if anyone knew if an 05 evo 8 k&n typhoon intake would fit my 06 evo 9 because some people say yes, like my friend who drives an sti, and some people say no. so i was just wondering if anyone really knew if it did or did not. thanks

Your best bet is to keep the stocker until you really start making big horse power.

nah i dont want an injen because i dont need the upper intercooler pipe cause i am getting a bigger intercooler and custom aluminum upper and lower ic piping.

my mods are turbo manifold, 02 housing, 3 in. downpipe, test pipe, catback. greddy profec b spec 2, greddy tt, and an awaiting s-afc2 when i get my intake. then cam and cam gears with the bigger front mount. and then dropping it on tein s-tech maybe. and deciding which flash to get i am leaning towards jestrtuning

no one's really answering his question even though it does'nt really deserve one because there's 1000000 threads about this. Yes it will fit, but it will make your car run like schit. No one knows why, but the way the typhoon is designed makes Evo's run like crap.

 

ok then there definitely is a thread about this but since we are all paying attention to this now which one do you recommend because k&n typhoon is dynoed for a 14 whp more than stock.
