If anyone can some advice please
Hi everyone. Im new to this website and I am about to but an Evo VIII in the next 2 weeks or LESS HOPEFULLY!! Just wondering if the one I am looking at is a good deal or the guy is tring to rip me off and i should look elsewhere. The one i am looking at is a 2003 Evo VIII. It has 43K miles. It has a turbo time, boost controler, K&N intake, and a pioneer in dash dvd player monitor. He wants 23,500 for it. Do you think it is a good price or not. If not what is? Or should i just look elsewhere? If any advice or suggestions thank you so much.
using the vegas strip zipcode (89109) off of www.kbb.com the avg price for an '03 with that mileage is $26k. he probly got the car on trade for $3k back of book (3k under wholesale price) which woukd be about $18k (wholesale in that area is $21k assuming excellent condition). they maybe put $1k in to check for major repairs, etc.
i say low ball the guy & offer him $23k OTD (out the door with all taxes, title fees, etc). it is costing him $ to have a used car on the lot. car dealerships try to sell payments. FOCUS ON THE FINAL PRICE!!!!! also the best time 2 buy is at the end of the month on the VERY LAST DAY!! if you're financing do the loan thru your bank to make sure they will loan u enuff. this will also get u in & out the dealership within an hour i assure you. if u also havent yet, contact your ins co to make sure the rate is an amt u can afford.
when i bought my '03, the salesman got fired cuz i paid $28k OTD which is what the MSRP was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they lost $5k on the deal cuz it wasn't marked up like it was supposed to be...
