Clunk! during hard braking-- drivetrain motion related?
I also get a clunk on braking.
From what i notice, the clunk is heard when i release the gas and then throttle back.
I could be wrong, but I am going under the assumption that the clunk comes from the play on the driveshaft.
I base this assumption on when the throttle is released, the strain on the driveshaft/diff is released, and when the car is throttled once more, the torque of the driveshaft on the diff creates a sort of impact before it takes up tension.
Can someone please verify if this assumption is plausible?
