Ok, I cant stop obsessing over the new EVO IX! I drive an Acura TL Typse-S so I have luxary mixed with a little sportage. I am contimplaiting selling my car to get the EVO. But if I do that and I start modding I might not have the car functional all the time, such as if there is a problem or if things dont arrive on time from UPSso on and so fourth. Ok, so my question is do you guys have this as your daily driver or do you guys have two cars? Thanks!

 

It's been my daily driver since day one

 

Was my dailey driver but got too expensive to keep running and modding; it is now a garage ornament most of the time.

Looks really good washed and waxed in the GeeeRage.

 

It was my daily driver for a long time, but since I drive 120 miles everyday, I decided to get a second car as a daily driver.

 

I have a 06 Golf GTi for daily drive to work, also turbo charged,leather and all the luxury stuff loaded. I only drive the evo on the weekends.

Do not want to worry about where to park, snow and rain while i m at work and my baby is out there!.

 

well okay i can see the luxury sport mix right there...TL's comfortable ride and the TYPE-S six speed right? test drive an evo...all you see is what you get...as far as performance...there's nothing like it...yes i have two cars...most of the time, i know where im going so i have the luxury to choose which one im willing to park somewhere...

 

I used my 05 evo for daily driving to work and school until i hit 12,000 miles in less than 6 months So I decided to fix my extremely fast auto v6 firebird with custom rattle exhaust and thats been taking the grunt of my commuting. My 05 is currently at 18,200 and sleeps all week so im happy.

 

I have a couple of MUCH more economically sensible Toyotas to drive (including a fully loaded Prius - actually a very nice car) but I simply can't walk outside every day and see the Evo and NOT drive it. I really should drive one of the other cars, but everytime I get out on the road in one, within 2 minutes I'm wishing I was in the Evo It's hard enough when we go on day trips and my wife insists that we drive the Prius...

Its even worse when your in the beater and you see another evo!!! and nobody would believe u have one to

My 17-18 month old 2005 has 5020x miles right now - daily driven. And I also have a 1998 Ford Escort (winter beater - really only used on extra crappy days or when the Evo is down). And a motorcycle for school and fun.

At the time I baught my Evo I had 2 other cars - 2000 Focus street/track car and 1976 Corvette drag car.

I say keep it, so you can mod (or repair ) away.

 

Had a camry and a 79 cutlass as a drag car, wanted something quick on the street for daily driving so I got a wrx, sold that and got an evo, now I want to sell the cutlass and mod the crap out of the evo and get a daily driver for the evo lol.

 

Exactly! I was on the local toll road driving the Echo, and I saw an Evo with out of state tags. It freaking took me forever to catch up to him weaving through traffic and stuff, and I was waving and the dude was totally ignoring me! I finally got his attention and talked to him, but I was like "damn... wish I was in the Evo!"

on the second note, I have a DCEvoClub license frame for the Prius

 

Ehhh, ive got two performance cars lol so i have no luxury in my life. I tried to get rid of the WRX for a Navigator and my g/f flipped out lol
