Made up my mind going with a WW MR 06
Made up my mind going with a WW MR 06
I finally after reading all info on the evom I could decided on a MR.
Reasons
1. not planing on a lot of mods for atleast 10,000miles
2. I plan on doing a little autox and long trips so the 6sp sounds nice
3. The headlights are just a bonus in my mind in daily driving
4.the lighter weight rims seems great cause I like the way they look and more than likely would upgrade the springs first.
I decided on WW after going to the dealership and was almost set on silver, but in person it seemed a little drab for a silver. The WW impressed me it seemed a nice bright clean white(brake dust will change that lol). The color seemed to make the dark interior standout nicely. I am going to try to get one with strut tower braces and front corner air dams.

Yes, do not just put on springs randomly with your awesome bilstein shocks, or you may blow them out.
The 6spd helps by about 300rpm in 6th, and rims are almost 2.5lbs lighter each, which means 10lbs of unsprung weight saved (that's very significant). The MR is great for racing on the fully stock suspension...I do it all the time.

I thing the same. It seems that Mitsubishi spent a lot of time in R&D tuning the suspension. It has the best combination for auto-x and rally-x. Plus it feels better on the road.

thanks for the reply's .I was talking to the dealer and he could not find a WW evo IX with both strut tower braces and the front corner air dams. I could order one and get it in 4-6 weeks. they do have one on the lot w/o the extras. but ,I wanted opinons on what you guys think.Should I just order and wait or get the one on the lot and haggel with them as I noticed some interior wear from being a floor model.

What are these extras you're talking about? I've never heard of front corner air dams or multiple strut tower braces. I didn't know Evos had options other than SSL or no SSL. The zero lift kit is standard on the MR...
Is that some dealer-specific thing? I've never heard of those dams, and all Evos have a front strut tower brace, but I've never seen one with a rear strut tower brace from the factory. It is not even a normal option, although it may exist.
