hey warrtalon, how much are you paying a month for FGNjunior's car? oh that's right, you don't. i am getting tired of telling you to stop with your crap and you also got a very similar warning from speedlimit a few days ago. not everybody likes the same things as you and some people actually enjoy making their car look like they want. is it really that hard to understand that?

get it through your head once and for all: the guy can put a freaking park bench on his trunk and paint his car screaming pink and he has every right to do so regardless of what you think is rice or not.

thank you. I think a lot of people are getting tired of warrtalons opinionated put-downs.

Warrtalon, this is a fun forum. Its attitude is decidedly driver-oriented, the membership (even the kids) appreciate and respect the use of automobiles for their intended purpose, and it offers a nice change of pace to the "modding for the sake of modding" atmosphere found here. Even though the board is slightly biased toward European cars - for a good reason, I might add - there are a bunch of Evo/STI folks there who tend to share a similar, performance-driven perspective.

On a personal note, I find the CF phenomenon particularly riveting. As most probably know, CF was originally used in racing (in part) to save weight, relative to what it replaced. When a CF part is laid over an existing piece, its use not only does not save weight, but it adds more mass in the process. Granted, there's very little of it, but that's not the point.

No, I got no warnings from Speedlimit, so I don't know what that is referring to. I also don't see how this guy is free to rice out his Evo, but I'm not free to comment on how I don't like that fact. I never said he couldn't do it - I just said I couldn't believe he was actually planning to spend money to do such a heinous thing to an Evo. Why is freedom of speech only allowed to those who screw up their Evos? I don't understand that.

There is a certain way to say things, and buddy, you just don't know how to do it! If you don't have anything nice to say, just don't say anything at all.

For the record, putting some accent carbon fiber pieces on your "OWN" Evo is not considered rice. Carbon fiber is a high quality and expensive material used to either lighten or for dress up. In this case it is being used to dress up, and for the most part save his arm rest from wear marks, save his rear bumper from being scorched/burned.

I guess this so called "race car" shouldn't use carbon fiber, yet a large majority of race teams use carbon fiber on their race cars. Your comment makes no sense at all.

So now I take it their are "rules" set in stone somewhere in the universe explaining what is and isn't allowed?

Clay, I remember a time when you ridiculed people for spending a bunch of money on parts when they can do it all for little to no money. If I remember, an SAFC, pump, boost controller, K n N filter, and catback REMEMBER? Now look at you! Your Evo has what, 20,000 miles and modified pretty good.

How ironic is that?

Remember this:

What year are we in? 2006 right! I find this almost amusing!

^^^What happened to ridiculing people for modding their car before the warranty is up? What mods do you have again Mr. 20,000 miles? lol

Shall I go on? There are many more out there. Your nothing more than an overbearing hypocrite! Is this one of those, do as I say, not as I do cases? Hypocrite!

Sorry mods, I had to do it.

and here is what speedlimit told you a few days ago in another thread after you made very similar rude comments:

dude yea ima go with warrtalon; spend your money on good things not spending it on making your armrest look all carbonfibered out; its an armrest dude and plus its not going to make your car faster; in my opinion i rather have a fast ugly *** car than a tricked out slow car. But thats just me if you think your going to pick up chicks with those acc. then go ahead - those mods should come after your car is pushing more the 350+whp

why???

what if he is very content with the stock power level and would like to just add a few interior/extreior pieces to make the car look nicer? who said that all evo owners must have 350whp? i am sure that there are alot of people that find the stock power level to be more than enough and maybe they don't want to deal with warrenty issues.

Do you guys think this part would work on an Evo 9...the site just says Evo 8
well since he already got the answer that yes they would fit the IX; i just wanted to rearange his mind first if he still reads his own threads; dont get me wrong but they are great mods to make your car look good; but once again hes in the breakin in stage; and still hasnt determined his car power and once he does hes going to be addictted to it... once you get that car spooling up you want more and more of that power thats just my opinionl; i didnt degrade him or anything hopefully he didnt get offended; haha

^^ i didn't say you degraded him or anything like that. i also don't have any problem with your original post, it is your opinion and i respect that. the only thing that i don't understand is why everybody assumes that people always want more power. my evo pretty much had a flash on it and thats it and i was very happy with it and didn't want to have any more power mods. i also have alot of friends with stock evos that are happy with the power level and just leave it like it is. also keep in mind that he said he was buying those parts because he was still in the break in period and he just wanted to buy some small things for it in the mean time. later he might decide that he wants more power and then he will start a thread asking about power mods. just because he wants interior pieces doesn't mean that thats all he is going to do to the car
