Get an RS with the $ you save buy a decent head unit and speakers then just buy the spoiler(if u want one) in the for sale section here.. You will still come out a lot of money ahead of where you would be if you had bought an RS and you will have the best of both worlds. cheaper and faster(not by much). just no 6th gear
O well just my $.02

If you really don't care about the extras mentioned, then I would say get the RS. It sounds like as far as you're concerned, all you want is the 6 speed. The difference between the two models is gonna cost you at least 5 or 6k.

I got the MR for the 6-speed, bilsteins, lights, and wheels. And then of course all of the "luxury" items too. lol

There is a dealer in FL that was doing 6 speed conversions, changing the tranny and everything needed, including the MR center console.

I just can't remember the name of the place

It was in orlando or Daytona....that I remember..I'll try to dig it up

Are there any other performance differences between the RS and MR besides the Bilstein struts, wing, and vortex generators?
The RS doesn't have ABS. That was the deal killer for me - if you want to just drag race the RS is the hot ticket. If you want to autox and road race then the GSR or MR are better.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I think I will probably go with the RS since I really don't care for all the amenities. I just want a bare bones race car. I'll probably get a wing for it tho. I'm going to put some coilovers on it, so I don't care for the Bilstiens. I don't really care for the ABS either. It would be nice to have, but I'm used to driving cars w/out ABS.
