anyone use an evo for daily driving?
Just wondering how these things treat the everday driver. I know the potential on a drag strip or a autocross event.. I am barely going to be up the track and i will never autocross and i will be only able own one car with this, so how is it for daily driving? WHat are the pluses and what are the minus's?

its not a daily driver for comfort... if you like have speed at your toes, the most amazing braking and handling capabilities for those times when you really need it, then get it, otherwise, find something a little more luxurious

well i bought my evo with 7,000 miles and i bought it in November...my evo now has 20,400 miles. i have driven from San Diego to Salt Lake City 2 times and to Pheonix once, LA about once a month. i love it as a daily driver.

I get ~23-24mpg of all highway driving @ 75mph one way, and stop-and-go driving on the way back from work.
Plenty good on gas.
Do about 50 miles a day round trip to work, most of it highways and interstates. No complaints I can think of, then again, Ive been used to driving 1g DSMs and Hyundais for awhile. If you're used to driving luxury cars, then the Evo is probably not the daily driver for you. BTW, I get about 19-21 mpg in mixed driving.
I drive my IX RS as a daily driver with JIC FLT-A2's on a pretty stiff setup (spring rate/compression+rebound rates)...I enjoy every bit of it. Oh ps, get an ipod if you have an RS :P.
Yeah, the lack of cruise control is a pain in the ****, but other than that the stock recaros are comfortable and the interior, although rudimentaty, it is still not uncomfortable.
