Weird Clicking Noise in my New IX
Hey I know what kind of noise your talking about. I have a 2006 evo rs so you know its sounds alittle louder in mine. I was concerned about it when I first started hearing it during warm up. I found out our engines came stock with eagle pistons and hollow cams. We have race engines so our engines are not going to be quiet like stock hondas/acuras. Its also the cranks warming up.
my evo engine was near silent until the first oil change, and now the engine clicks. nothing terrible, just not as quiet as it used to be. hasn't effected performance one bit and from everyone i've talked to (owners and the dealer) it's pretty normal for the 4G63T to click.

If you read the manual...it says that the car makes abnormal sounds until its completely warm.
RE Warmup period.....the manual also says to "let the car idle until the temp needle BEGINS to move. Idling time after that is just wasting gas."
There is a lot of info that I wouldn't find in regular car manuals
