Anybody know what this is?

Found this under my airbox after taking it off. They route to the lines under my hand (ones with white markings and the other with the spring lock) but don't seem to go anywhere. There's a little silver nipple barely visible (straight down from my middle finger partially visible). Don't know what these are or where they go. Checked the box itself and found no connections for them.

OK, so I had an MBC installed. Should they be loose like that because of it? Sorry, not the most mechanically inclined.

They should not be in there at all if you had a MBC installed

I guess I can yank them? Since they connect to nothing I suppose that's what should have been done by the person I paid to install the MBC. :sigh:

Also I can see by your picture that your stock boost solenoid is still hooked up...where do those hoses run too? I am curious to see how your MBC is hooked up.

Oh boy, umm I followed the lines and they go near the turbo to two nipples off of the object that looks a little like my MR DV (has a "gold" cap). The lines a run behind the radiator fan and both end up close to each other. Sorry, I just don't have the know-how to explain in greater detail. Might be hard to take another pic clearly, but I can try if you want.

Just find a experienced memeber here and fix it. looks like MBC wasn't properly installed.

Hmmm. I just read the how-to on MBC install and it appears the lines for my controller are run the same way. The connector underneath is the wastegate solenoid and according to the article I can connect both nipples to each other and zip tie them. Sound about right?

Your MBC should be connected to the wastegate actuator and turbo nipples. The BCS should not be connected to anything...it should be capped.

Sounds like you need to have someone else take a look at your MBC...I would tell you the right way to install it but since you said you are not mechanically inclined I dont want to confuse you. Tell me though....how many pounds of boost are you running and does it hold steady? The way it is hooked up may work, but there is a much bettter way that gives faster turbo spool and steady boost

I used one of those hoses to route the boost solenoid to itself. so it doesn't get dirty.

The lines are run from the WGA and turbo nipple. The part that confused me was why the old lines weren't removed and the solenoid cappped off. This has been like this since the MBC was installed and there are no major boosting issues ( I have leaks but that's another story). From what I gather It is correctly connected. I just don't like looking under my hood and seeing loose/cut lines.
