well, then my boost gauge must suck.

My IX boost about 15

Well it spike at 18 or so then immediately drops to around 15-16 the rest of the range.

I know. It was really lame and cheesey too. Actually they gave it to me and asked me to return it later so I watched it out of curiousity and excitement as I had to wait a few days for my car to come in. But it basically covered the basics of the car and the basics of maintanence like how often to rotate tires and stuff like that. I do remember the boost being discussed though. And if people search, they will find these numbers easily on here.

Exhaust components that free up back pressure will. Especially downpipes and O2 housings and such. I spike to 23psi with tbe and no tune and hold 20psi most of the time (meaning most gears and most of the powerband).

When the car FIRST came to the states.... soem dealers told people to watch the video. This only lasted for a few months.

^^Well that answers that then.

As for the video thing. I hate to be off topic here but people keep talking about it. I have an '04 so my dealer obviously made people watch this thing longer than just a few months. It was dated though. It said the EVO was the most powerful 4 cylinder in the western hemisphere and we all know in '04 that was the STi.

Again every evo boosts differently and makes different power levels. So there isnt a straight answer other than what the car is "rated" at.
