Well my 05 MR is right at about $30,000 so I would imagine the IX has still held it's value to around $34,000

Good luck getting $30k for your car. Going rate on an 05 MR seems to be closer to $25k.

its all about the place and time and your credit and how bad you want the car not everyone can go to the west coast. So I don't care if they were selling them 1 dollar......

Yeah, but you can buy an Evo 8 MR for $25-26k all day long from the classifieds here.

I'm located in Colorado, shipping a new MR from SCM would cost me about $700, I could fly out there and drive it back for around $400. So for a used IX MR to be worth it to me, it'd have to be at least $2-3k less than the new MR from SCM.

I was thinking it'd be worth around $28-29k, depending on how eager the seller is to get rid of it. It's hard to sell such an expensive car as a private owner. People usually get financing more easily when going through a dealer, as well as being able to trade in a car, etc...

Opinions?

the truth of the matter is there a many varibles that go into it. taking the time off work for one and what if you have a trade 25,000 for a 05 mr is just crazy but you sell the car for what you want cause if you will not buy someone will and that is the way it works

Yeah, add about $1,000 for shipping or $500 to fly and drive back. Then add sales tax of about $2,300 or so. Now you have $35,800-$36,300 for a SCM IX MR.
