CF hood.

How hard is a CF to install? Could I do it myself or should I have shop do it?

guess it depends on whether or not you are installing hood pins on it or not, but yeah - two people and ratchet will make quick work of the basic install.

Actually i don't really think you'll never really need to get some shop to install it with or without hood pins. All you need is a trustworth buddy. Yesterday i helped my friend intall his cf hood on his Celica. We drilled the holes ourselves. I think we did a perfect job it looks awesome.

The whole hood-pin thing is just for looks, right? It's not "necessary?" Also, the windshield wiper sprayers, they just pop out and pop in to the CF one? I haven't gotten the hood yet, just wondering.

My evo isn't stock, it's got a few goodies with a dyno flash. 322whp and 331wtq. I was just asking, man. I have never had a CF hood before, I didn't even order it yet, I am just seeing if it's hard to install. I don't know anything about them.

I'm just saying.

Have you ever looked at your hood? Four bolts. Two squirters. You're good.

No need to waste your money having a shop install it.

Doing it and doing it right are different scenarios, I was just asking before I went out and did it myself, not knowing.

Honestly, barring dropping the hood or scratching it during the install...you will have a hard time fudging an install of a hood.
