What does this hose do?
When I got stuff installed at the local shop, the installation guy removed it, saying it would allow the engine to suck in as much air as it wanted, instead of having it be regulated. And it is better to let it get all the air it needs.

I believe that makes your fuel system run very lean, very bad. I could be wrong. There was once an agurment about if it was bad or not. One tuner said that is was the worst thing every, then when another tuner pulled it off to test a lean protect system, then same tuner said it didnt matter if it came off.

That pic isn't my engine, it's still off. I just used that pic to show you guys, since my engine doesn't have it on. But, anyway, my car was tuned with it off, so I'm sure whatever it did was tuned out, or whatever, I'd assumed. it was tuned on a dyno by jestr. So I guess if it made it lean, he fixed it, I made some good power.

if you look at it the line goes into a doodad that sits on the fuel rail. that's the fpr line, unplugging it on purpose is about the most moronic thing i've ever heard and i haven't even got a clue as to where someone would think up something so backwards...
don't let this person touch your car anymore... they might decide to unplug some other lines and let lots of air in so your engine can breathe better. hope they don't unplug your coolant lines for that purpose...
