New to the forums.. Barely after only having 500 miles.. (still breaking in) I have an itch to upgrade my EVO IX.... What would be the best path do you guys suggest to reach 500awhp..? I've played around with a few set ups as in GT35r.. but I know there has to be better (cost effective) way to reach this mark.. What you guys think? btw.. I want to run on 91 oct so even if i don't reach this number close to it would be nice..

I've wanted a 500 hp car for some time now :/
just waiting for a good platform.. and now i have it.

 

start with a flash, then TBE, headers, fuel pump, turbo kit, injectors, intercooler& pipes, then ignition.

maybe not in that specific order, but for the first three items, that would be the concensus.

oh yeh, all that power without a good clutch won't get you anywhere.

 

i've always wondered if there was MEETS in MoorPark!! now i know there is where exactly is it at"??? i wanna go some day!! are MEETS are tonight as well at FRY's iN OXNARD!!!! soo how do you get too the MEET in MoorPark prolly take some of my friends over there to check it out!!

To reach 500whp,you need:
BPU
Turbo kit
Alky
A ECU Reflash
Good Clutch
Cam(GSC or JUN Exhaust)

Someone make 477whp(BPU,JUN 264 Exhaust Cam,50 Trim Turbo kit,Alky and consertive Flash) on EVO 9.The thread is under AMS Section.The power under the curve is insane,300whp@4200rpm,400whp@4800rpm(Before the full boost of GT35R or T67 P Trim),then hold the power all the way.

 

My .02 are that as you get up to 500whp give John Shep your money and get his upgraded trans and tc.

That is my plan.

 

Get a 50Trim & Meth injection, you will be there & you will love it!!!

 

GT35r (and supporting mods). Or 50trim and meth injection (and supporting mods) will get you really close to it on 91octane. The 50trim seems the most streetable from what I've read in regards to full boost power at low rpm's.

As mentioned check out the AMS staged upgrades. If you want more, you can step up to a 42r or 37r if you want 700whp or so... But you'll be trading off streetability in those cases.

I'd seriously think about doing a 2.3L stroker if you're thinking about this much power...

 

300whp @ 4200rpm!
