Replace it with OEM or BG synhcroshift as soon as you can. The stuf you have in there may be fine, but why take the risk for the sake of 50bucks?

FIY, if you decide to go with the OEM stuff you have to have the dealership do it because the only way to buy the fluid is in a 50 gallon drum

BG Synchroshift II is good stuff

A LOT... I'm not sure of the exact number but I'm sure it's not pretty. If you get BG Synchroshift it's very easy to change. See the how-to forum.

I did the same. They just asked me to bring something to put the fluid in.

Well that was nice of them, I wish they would do that here I'll try another dealership and see what happens. Good to know they actually did it though. How much did they charge per quart?

we are talking about the tranny fluid right??? the tranny fluid and the transfer case fluid is the same fluid. well atleast it is for my 2005 Evo 8. i went to the mitsubishi dealer asked for tranny fluid and transfer case fluid (for when i did my Exedy twin disc racing clutch), they said it is the same fluid and they gave me 6 quarts of it in 1 quart bottles. it was like $2.00 or $3.00 a quart.

The transfer case and rear diff are LSD oil only, And the transmission is gear oil 5 speed (GL-3 75w-80) or (GL-4 75w-85/75w-90). 6 speed is(GL-4 75w-85) and thats from the owners manual

I can just see that store room full of 50 gallon barrels waiting of an Evo to come in. OEM tranny oil at the dealership comes in 5 gallon pails. So what you do if you want OEM oil is buy the 5 gallon pail that is open and partially used.
