help & advice

hey guys im new to the site i just purchased a evo 7 about 1 week ago the problem i had was a misfire with it so i took it to the dealer because i dont know any creditable shops in the jax,fl area they cannot find the whats causing the problem with it. they said their cpu cant read my ecu cause its jdm they said they will have to take the dash off and manually check the wiring and each component to see if they find the problem that way by it being converted from rhd to lhd. i need to know if this could be true dealing with this problem like i said im new to mitsubishi and evos ,i knew the deal was too good to be true

Had the same problem with missfire and flames from the excaust. Use good Spark Plugs and not crappy ones like NGK BPR8ES Spark Plug Set, that sites sell for 12.99

Also, do you have a Jap Spec car? This like the european ones supposed to run on 100 octane gasoline!!!

Wish you good luck

That is what i am saying. DONT use the cheap NGK ones. With 28psi and 100 octane, after 1000 miles i had missfire....

See what happens with the gasoline...Maybe nothing, but in Euro spec when you open the tank has a sticker that says 98+. With 95 does not work. Only flames from the exhaust.
