Wow, you have a few questions... These questions could be answered one at a time with some good searches throughout these forums. I have no problem addressing some, but others will most likely beat you for lack of intiative to search.

Stalling could be a few things.. BOV was meant to recirc with stock MAF. ECU doesn't do well if not. As far as backwards, what do you mean? need clarification. hearing the BOV at higher RPM's? not sure how you could hear that unless you let off the gas, or do you mean consistently throughout? If you want to use an SAFC to tune (don't recommend with minimum understanding and base flash) then you should get a Wideband and reputable tuner. Would recommend you first get a good mail-in, eflash or custom tune. This will at least put you in the ballpark.

as far as a cat-delete making some gains, sure, but with your butt-dyno, it may not make a difference. Personally I like the sound without it.. That's my only reason and I have the Buschur TBE. Hope this helps some.. Good luck and welcome..

The loud whistle type noise you hear at high rpms may be that the stock snorkle isn't secured properly.

Make sure that the clips aren't broken.

If they are then get two from the trunk and use them.

Let us know if that helps.

That loud whistle could be the BOV too. My 1G BOV was making Wookie noises. We called it Diagnosing the Wookie. GRRRRRRRRR!!!! At what boost level or RPM does the BOV make noise? It could be you need a new BOV in general. I would probably get rid of the BOV and go with a JDM stock MR BOV. I did, and it's working great.

I understand what you guys are saying but the OP stated that the noise comes between 6000 and 7000 rpm.

That is right where my snorkle would suck up to the bottom of the hood and choke the turbo for air.

Just my .02

I thought it was a boost leak too until I talked to warrtalon about it.

You could have torn the diaphragm inside the type-s. Take it apart again and check the rubber. Be sure not to pinch it at all when putting it together.

If the rubber is fine, then you need to tighten down the adjustment screw and test drive. Bring the wrenches with you. Took me a few trips around the block to get it perfect.

You must also recir. the bov back into the intake. That will also give you problems.

Sorry, didnt see there was more - paragraphs and/or commas help a lot when reading via internet.

Some people on here still tweak with a safc, however, with EcuFlash and EcuScan full on tuning is a much better route. Warrtalon used a base flash and his safc back in the day with good results.

A TBE, MBC, WB, Tune will get you around 300 whp. You do NOT, repeat NOT, need an intake - a simple K&N panel filter will get'r done.

Yes cat-less increases flow and removes pressure. For example: running high boost (22 psi), super rich, and heat -- over time will literally cook your cat. Running rich clogs up the cat faster and over time flow of the cat will decrease.

Happy racing.
