MBC, coilovers or springs (if they're good), fairly quiet/stealth TBE, drop in filter, and a tune

Buy a good radar detector and laser jammer. The Evo has plenty of power and handling ability for everyday driving. Unless you want to race, spending more than a new exhaust and maybe ECU flash is a waste.

My "guess" is that he provides an air filter, TBE, ecu tune, and a fuel pump. That should take you pretty close to 300hp. I have hers that those IXs make alot of power from just a reflash.
And yes, the flash does controll the boost

hmm well i know for sure the warrtalon package does not include an air filter, but i already have the works drop in so it doesnt matter, it also doesnt include a fuel pump.... and if the flash controls the boost, then whats the point of the mbc?? if anyone with this package could answer my other questions 2 posts above, that would be awesome

The 9 does not need a upgraded fuel pump, because the stock one is already an upgrade from the 8. Having an MBC allows you to change your boost when you want, say at the track for race gas.

And please, please, please search! These questions have been answered a thousand times.

Thanks for the advice guys. There's a lot of good info in this post.

But just so you know, you're wasting your keystrokes asking me to do a search. Of course I did a search before I started this thread. I'm new to this Evo forum, but I'm not new to internet forums in general. As I expected, searching for "first mods" or "best mods" comes back with a bunch of random results that don't even begin to answer the very specific questions and conditions I stated at the top of this thread.

Forums like this one are at their best when people can ask specific questions and get very specific, up-to-date, and clear informational answers from smart people.

Thanks again to those who have done that here!

what I plan on doing.

I'm picking up my evo tomorrow or thursday.

1. Authority short shifter with bushings ~110
2. Turbo Back Exhaust XS Power style. ~250
3. ECUFlash so I can self-tune
4. Wideband -depending on the reliability of the stock wideband 02 sensors
5. HID retrofit.
6. A fuel pump upgrade is pretty cheap. 90 bucks. Install shouldn't be very hard. You just have to get your hands burned in gasoline.

I'm still doing research.
