Im going with the magnaflow tbe set up, what shoul i get with it? dp or cat, or both? what brands you prefer.

 

dont get a cat and for sure get a downpipe

cat will rob power get a testpipe. i have a buschur tbe it's really nice buts its also very loud. get a buschur or ams dp.

 

ifi was u i wouldnt get the magnaflow. you should either do buschur or ams staged upgrades for the best performance

 

yah get an ams tbe with a testpipe... get a dp because a catback doesnt gain any power without a dp and get a tp because you get more power and your car would sound more badass and you can run leaded gas w/o worring about burning up your cat. i wouldnt reccomend magnaflow because i dont know of any wellfitting tp dp cbe combos from them but buschur ams turboxs tanabe and a whole bunch of other companys carry full tbe setups.

 

get a magnadlow muffler if you want, not bad pricing at all and just take it to a muffler shop and have them to dp, tp, and the rest of the piping. AMS or someone uses the magnaflow mufflers so it really doesnt matter IMO

With a buschur dp, is that a good setup? test pipe why that?

 

If you do the test pipe get the UR test pipe its only $75 and it comes with a cel fix. I have it not one cel yet

 

look at the whole buschur tbe i think they have a going back to school sale on it now check the classifides. that magnaflow isnt looking too good imo

 

that magnaflow muffler is huge not very appealing to me

 

I've been running a MF muffler & resonator all 3"w/ a Tanabe DP(2.75) and love it. At first I thought it was loud compared to stock, but now I wish it were a little louder, and thats with a MR o2 housing & headers!LOL
MF mufflers are very good, mine is a straight thru, I ckecked the I.D. of both the resonator & muffler before installing, I could easily slide a soda can thru w/ no problem.
I don't believe you'll notice or feel ANY difference from a $400 3" exhaust to an $850 3" exhaust if their both free flowing, brand name or not.

 

I have that same magnaflow sytem with a dc sports downpipe. The dc sports dp also eliminates the cat so no test pipe is needed. With that system, a few bolt ons, cams, and a flash I dynoed 365hp.

 

What dp and test pipe should i get that will fit my magnaflow
