Evo discontinued for 18months

So I went into a Mitsubishi dealership to try and order an MR they told me next month is their last shipment and then they're going to stop making them for 18months and then the Evo X comes out. Is this true?

I have heard similar "rumors". From what Mitsubishi has been saying the X won't be coming out until Spring of 08'. I like the fact that the EVO will be a lot more rare until then.

Yep, from some very high sources in the company, the last shipment of EVOs will be in december this year (the SE edition which is being shipped right now). Then the EVO X will not come out until spring of '08. Like I said, rumors of this somewhat solidified after talking with some higher-ups!

Wheeha, I got a GG IX SE last week, and yes, Mistu is discontinuing EVO production altogether, to refit their factories to produce the X. Which will *not* be available mainstream until Fall of '08.

You don't think it'll be that hard?
I have a feeling since they're going to be considered "rare" for a little, I won't get one..
