I dont know if I have false data, but I looked at several websites, and the EVO has a faster 0-60 times, 45-65 time, and a faster 1/4 mile. (this was even a 03 EVO vs 04 M3). As we all know, the IX is way faster than the 03 Evo VIII, with his mods, I cant even imagine that the M3 would come close.

Doesnt make ANY sense to me, I would however like to know the outcome as I am either getting an 03 M3, or a 06 IX, so let me know!

Sterling, I dont know if he really meant to say "well into" as in 11.5 or anyting like that, I just think he meant, it is possible for that machine to run 11's with any good driver, I think he was trying to point out that the car is capable of running 11s, it has that much power, whereas a stock M3 cant even run a 12, so how can anyone possibly think that the M3 will beat it.

GGood day my lovers

my dad has an M3 2005 with the smg... the fastest he ran it was a 13.0 and thats suppose to be amazing.. he has h & r springs and dinan full exhaust

i have few basic mods. no cams or alky and im trapping 114@12 and thats not an amazing launch

the m3 is easier to drive esp with the smg... theres no lag, he can shift though all his gears quicker than u can shift 2nd-3rd...

m3's can launch too....the whole thing is ran by computers... gives ya just enough wheel spin to be gone... all ya do is hold back the shifter and floor it... ya let off the shifter and its gone... they may not be the fastest... but they are very consistent and its nearly impossible to have a bad run, unlike the evo... when a person has to ask if they can beat a stock car where the 1/4 mile, and 50-90 times are posted everywhere, they must not have very much experience racing around or read much about cars... www. caranddriver.com www.motortrend.com theyre ur friends and have everything u needa know.... u can look at the different acceleration speeds from 0-60 5-60 30-50 and figure out where ur car does well and other not so well and try to plan ur race around that if its a planned thing like this..

good luck, dont let us down..u better pile drive the ****er

I beat a E46 M3 at the drag strip in my 05 STi....no contest.

I pull hard on my friends E36 M3 all the time...from a roll and from a stand still.

I was also passing a E36 M3 at roebling rd like he was standing still...granted the guy wasn't an experienced driver, but then again...it was my first track event too.

I dont even see how this is a maybe, I feel like a somewhat inexpericned driver in the Evo would beat a very experienced driver in the M3, stock vs stock the IX should be quicker in everything but high MPH rolls, and even then i dont think he would get raped, but given he added a good 80-100WHP to his car, I dont see how this is even a contest.

Someone reply and let me know if im an idiot or not.

I owned a 03 m3 with smg...I did 13.7 in the 1/4 no problem...I LOVED my M3..I STILL cant say though that its a better performer than my 05 Evo by any means handeling or straight line...and...I would not sell my evo to go back to the M3 anyday soon...I honestly dont understand how you could be having an evo and just sell it for an M3 just cause your looking for more performace...Now if your looking for the Bavarian badge magic and the luxury thats a different issue...then and only then...you should be selling the evo or if you dont have an Evo choose the M3.....dont forget though that the new M3 is due any time soon...very soon...and this M3 will have an old look compared to it...then no one will care about the car (which in this case one of the major factors for choosing an M3 over an Evo) because its an older model.

Going back to your question...it all depends on his flash....I know you guys like flashes here....but...there is nothing better than a dyno tune...my experience with flashes was horrible...its like diagnosing a medical problem to a patient oversees...could be right..then your giving him the right meds...Or wrong then his case will get worse..if his flash is spot on.."cross your fingers here"...or if he gets a dyno tune then I can safely say he can Destroy him...he will pass him by car lengths no problem.

thats all my opinion..take it or leave it

I have never meet this friend so he could be as real as a doo doo bird. We were able to get him to shut up untill recently he then informed me of a video that he saw on youtube showing a M3 beating a evo. Due to this worthless video I now have to hear more and more bashing. Every time we have tried to arrange for them to race he seems to back out or never gets around to it.

My friend has a Evo IX with a ECU flash, Turbo back exhaust, drop in, boost controller. How do you think he will fare agaist this stock M3 E46?

Comments welcome
THis post kind of reminds me of second grade? My dad can beat up your dad he has a black belt and yours doesn't type of deal. J/K
I want to smoke a m3 I pulled from a 06 sti with my rs and I was kind of suprised I thought the sti would out run a VIII?

Just wait til the new V8 m3s come out. =
sure, then just wait till the new EVO X comes out BMW =

Sorry S.O.A.D. but as much as your sausage loving *** would like to argue in favor of the m3, you're wrong. Evo is faster, better handling, and responds much better to mods.

Quality? if you're talking about interior/looks then sure the m3 is on top. Build quality though, hahaha i know so many people with bmw problems.

Just got my 1st EVO. Love it. But c'mon it's no M3. The list of things the M3 has that the EVO doesn't is about 10 pages long. However, glad I finally bought a car that I can get more than 1hp per $1000.

Can't wait to see if the EVO is faster than the M3. My wife & I will be doing test runs on the I295 here in Sth Jersey

I will own either a E46 M3 or a E92 M3 at some point in my life. M3's are over all an awesome car, on and off the track. however that will be the day when my Evo is a track only car

My M3 was faster than my EVO stock, especially from 80mph up. The EVO handles and stops better, though. The M3 is very well built in terms of being solid but it has a dog**** electrical system. I had a lot of electronic issues and just about everyone I know with an E46 M3 has also had at least a few. The E46 M3 is a nice car but it's overrated because of image. The E36 and E30 M3s were much more pure, especially the E30. The only thing I miss about my M3 is the nice interior, other than that my EVO is a lot more fun and I enjoy owning it a lot more.

The other thing is if you want to make an E46 M3 faster, you will spend a lot of money on naturally aspirated mods like headers and cams that barely do anything. The only real way to get power out of it is to do a supercharger. An Active Autowerke Stage II blower costs $10,000 before labor, and brings the car up to around 450whp. You can achieve the same in an EVO for less and you can take an EVO up to power levels no E46 M3 can even dream of.

By the way the new 335i is going to kill the value of the E46 M3. Vishnu has gotten a 335i up to 350rwhp with a basic tune.

Too bad the 335 has the new body style, that thing is ugly in my opinion, if I wanted to buy the a car that the characters from "Bust-a-move" drive, then maybe I'd get one, all of the new BMW series with thier ultra rounded front and backs are digusting in my opinion.

Also, the M3 puter logs all your crazy top speeds and launch conditions... haneous.

I know 2 companies that sale supercharger kits, one is like $8k, the other like $25k.
this is the reason i am gonna trade my E46 M3 for an Evo MR. N/A mods don't do sh*t for the M3 the only way you will make hp gains is to supercharge it ($9k+) Dinan is overrated haha.
