Question Saving an Evo from doom, please help

Hello all.

First of all, a very nice site you have here. I'm a member of many DSM forums and Neon forums, but this is one of the nicest setups I've seen.

I just purchased a wrecked 2003 black Evo VIII. It was hit mostly on the drivers side rear. I was going to buy a clean car with the money I had, but figured I'd rather save the Evo from certain doom.

I have a few questions regarding parts.
I need a new drivers side quarter panel, both drivers side doors, and a rocker panel from about the middle of the front door to the quarter panel.

I've been told conflicting information from a few parts companies and salvage yards regarding the front doors: Are non-Evo Lancer front doors the same as an Evo front door?

I've already got a rear door lined up, and I'm waiting for help on picking a quarter panel to see if I can get the rocker panel with it as well.

Other parts I've already ordered are a new drivers side rear axle, Hotchkis 24mm rear sway bar, Perrin swaybar links, and a Seibon OEM carbon fiber hood.

Any help regarding the front door issues would be appreciated.
I'm looking foward to finally having a nice/fast car

Thanks in advance,

Ian

+1, the bodies are totally different. You can't even swap the glass between the 2.

OK, I'm going to take your guys' word for it. I wasn't sure. The guy at the place I got the car said it was the same, the website I called said they were different part numbers and such.

Rather just find an Evo front door than throwing 400+ bucks at a Lancer door and chance it.

Thanks all for the help!

Just got done pulling the rear bumper cover off... looked "ok" but needs some work... it's pretty mangled, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to save it.

Hopefully I'll have some pics up when I finish it!

Wish me luck guys, thanks for all the help and in advance for future help!
