Chances of getting a new IX in 07

I have read a few threads about stopping production on the IX for assembly line to convert for the X to come out. I got thrown a curveball for my Evolution, I was supposed to get one by the end of the year but now I have to wait til May/June of 07 due to financial problems. Would there still be new 06's for sale in 07. If so how much of a price increase do you think it will be because they will be harder to find. And if so im guessing my choices of a Red GSR will be harder to find and ill have to settle with another color. Maybe im just overworried and think too much, somebody talk some sence in me please.

Honestly it could be close to impossible to find a new IX that late. I believe Mitsu has already stopped production and there won't be more IXs shipped to the US. Could be wrong (and I hope that I am so you can get your IX) but I guess we'll have to wait until the Mitsu future gurus get us a straight answer.

Cheer up dude. I'm in the same situation as you are. You might be lucky enough to have your dealer mark them up like mine is doing. An MR in Concord Mitsubishi is gonna set you back $40k. But hey. Evo's don't sell well remember? Mitsubishi barely sells these cars, espcially if they are marked up. Usually only enthusiasts buy them, like us. No 50 year old man who isn't a car enthusiast just walks into a Mitsubishi dealerships and picks out an Evo because he thinks it looks nice and all. However, sometimes it does happen. The last shipment of the SE's will be in December I think. Also, if you cannot come up with extra cash, you can always trade in that z28 and I guarantee you that you won't be disappointed. =]

or you never know you might find a good used one, low miles and such...I have a line on an 04 that a 60 year old man bought because his 14 year old son liked it and wanted it for when he turned 16. Well the guy drove the car about 15k miles and decided it was too much car for his kid so he is trying to work a deal with me...possibly trading him my M3 and some money for the car.

Well I think you guys will find some personally, when I was back in Florida, my dealer probably only sold 4 Evos since 2003. (a little extreme but still you get the point).

And if not, there will be TONS selling with less than 5 or 10k miles, just buy those if that all you can get.
