Hks Ssq Bov

I am a new member and just bought an Evo IX about a month ago and so far I love it (even though it is stock at the moment).

Now I am looking to buy a BOV and a K&N drop in. I was looking on ebay for the HKS SuperSequential BOV and I saw alot of different prices and was not sure whether there was a difference as to which one I would need for the Evo. If anyone has some input on this please let me know.

do you need to do a tune after getting a BOV and drop-in?

not the drop in so much, but the BOV is not the mod you want to make next, and if you are looking for the sound, then go with a dual BOV that recirc's and vents... I have an APS on mine....

Getting the SSQV is not conserving money, and it's not "a little something." It's a huge waste of money, because it hurts your performance, and your stock BOV is awesome. The drop-in filter really doesn't do anything either. For the $300 you'd be spending to lose power, you could get 30whp from a flash.

Get an MBC, boost gauge, and mail-in flash for about 40-50whp.

the SSQVs on ebay that have a very low price are just imitations. if you ARE going to buy an SSQV from ebay make sure you read very carefully and not buy an SSQV style bov.

research more you'll see that a bov is not a necessary mod especially on a IX

drop in is unnecessary also

as Warrtalon stated...mbc, mail in flash, boost gauge, and tbe are basic power proven mods

K&n drop in makes it slightly louder, but nothing you would notice if you didn't know to hear for it heh.

Yea get TBE, mbc, boost gauge, and a reflash.

just get a intake and you will get a little bov noise that is fun to mess around with... no sense to spend more money on the ssqv if you are trying to save money... but it is a fun little thing to have
