Hks Ssq Bov
Hks Ssq Bov
I am a new member and just bought an Evo IX about a month ago and so far I love it (even though it is stock at the moment).
Now I am looking to buy a BOV and a K&N drop in. I was looking on ebay for the HKS SuperSequential BOV and I saw alot of different prices and was not sure whether there was a difference as to which one I would need for the Evo. If anyone has some input on this please let me know.

not the drop in so much, but the BOV is not the mod you want to make next, and if you are looking for the sound, then go with a dual BOV that recirc's and vents... I have an APS on mine....
Getting the SSQV is not conserving money, and it's not "a little something." It's a huge waste of money, because it hurts your performance, and your stock BOV is awesome. The drop-in filter really doesn't do anything either. For the $300 you'd be spending to lose power, you could get 30whp from a flash.
Get an MBC, boost gauge, and mail-in flash for about 40-50whp.

thanks guys and im really new to turbos as you can tell but i was just wondering if that was worth doing. I need to research a little more. But the good thing is that AMS is less than 40 minutes away.

research more you'll see that a bov is not a necessary mod especially on a IX
drop in is unnecessary also
as Warrtalon stated...mbc, mail in flash, boost gauge, and tbe are basic power proven mods

the drop in does help... good for about 3 to 5 hp.... that is an improvement, however slight that is.... i have a K and N drop in im trying to get rid of... it was used for about 3 months then i put my intake in... i'll get rid of it for 40.
just get a intake and you will get a little bov noise that is fun to mess around with... no sense to spend more money on the ssqv if you are trying to save money... but it is a fun little thing to have
