Did my first MOD today
No problem. An open cone intake will definitely make more power over the stock airbox with a tune. Until then, problems problems problems. Best thing to do is get the flash and then install the intake.
Yup, good choice. I also have parts sitting around in my room waiting to be installed on the day of my custom tune. As anxious as I am to have these things on my car, I'd rather exercise patience than having problems on a car I haven't had for more 1.5 months.
+1
Read up on mods here and the "how to" section.
Also for your horror/information there is a great "my blown engine" thread in the turbo drivetrain section on what cuased malfunction and contributing factors for various blown engines

I just removed my front license plate & mount and was staring at it for 15 minutes trying to figure out how I was going to do a clean job of covering the 3 holes up LOL. Still not sure what to do. Does anyone sell silver painted plugs I can just pop in?
good job Guz Man, now it won't be so bad when you rip it all apart again in two weeks to color the bulbs. lol
foggy, get the bullet hole sticker's . they look excellent on grey

Did you buy your evo used foggy? I bought mine new and it came with a mount but no holes in the bumper. I haven't installed it yet and won't unless it starts costing me a lot in fines. Hasn't been a problem yet though...
Not only are there holes there now, but there's a sliver of paint missing next to one of the holes, which I intend to fix with a paint pen...
Mine came with the front plate mounting holes as well. I went to Home Dept. and baught some white plastic plugs, fits perfet and you can hardly see them. Of course I have a WW, so no painting needed.
