Where do you put your oil temp sensor?

On std evos I think there are 2 spare sensor plugs near the oil filter play (beore and after oil filter), correct???????

Where do you guys normally put your oil filter sensors? I believe the oil temps should read quite different between the two, right? So that I can have some benchmarks in terms of avg. oil temp.

My oil temps are running a bit high after a few circuit laps (36-38celcuis outside), i can get up to 124c after 4-5 laps (10 mins).

they put the temp senders where the plug is at the dealership.

word of advise dont mount the oil sender on the block i've burnt up 3 of them this summer . autometer is sending me a new sender and a 3 foot section of an line and a bracket to remote mount it . they say it cant handle the vibrations the motor gives of when seeing high revs

Thank you. For the 2 screws on the oil filter housing.... one of them is before going into the oil cooler and the other is coming from the oil cooler, right?

How much diff can the 2 temps be at these 2 different screws/plugs???????????????????? I think I might have my sensor at the one going into the oil cooler (higher temp)

What is your average oil temp reading from the drain plug location?
I just installed mine into the drain plug and it takes about 20 min of driving for it to go past 140 degrees F. Is this normal? the highest I have seen is 170 so far with 70 degree outside temps. I dont think this is a good reading

Where did you get the oil sensor that is incorporated into the drain plug? Does it just replace the drain plug?

Will the oil drain plug sensor work with the stock oil guage cluster. I heard it has to be a mitsubishi sensor because of the wattage.

I drilled out the stock drain plug and tapped it to fit sensor. I think Im going to move the sensor the the oil filter housing though. I dont think my readings are correct.
