thanks guys, i know that they are people busting their butts trying to pay for their ride and in no way shape or form i'm trying to rub this in anyones face. i'm still stoked about this car in fact the evo was a car on my i wish i had list! i am blessed and i'm extremely grateful. heck i still have a $486 car payment plus house payments and regular old bills. i know what it is to struggle each month. i'm extremely happy to have it and i'm also hoping to never sell it! i love this car it's awesome. i'm glad to be finally apart of this community!

A little thread digging, but I have a question...

I read in Sport Compact Car magazine that RMR (Rhys Millen Racing) took a couple EVO's and converted them to RWD so they could drift for the movie. Yeah, awesome way to f*ck up the AWD, I know.

Anyways, I wondering did your car get the same RWD treatment? For your sake, I hope not...

 

have you done anything to your car yet like remove the vinals?

 

Was this car used in the movie?

If it was, I would not remove the decals (about the only time Id say this) - for prestige/resale sake.

Oh, I'm sure it was. Mitsubishi donated ten EVO IX's for the making of Tokyo Drift. Universal Studios then hacked 'em up (converted AWD to RWD), and wrecked 'em. I'm sure the drawing he won was for one of the EVO's that actually survived filming.
